As an ambitious amateur photographer, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of simplicity. To me, minimalism isn’t just a style. It’s about stripping away the noise to reveal the core essence of a subject. Focusing on the essentials!
People occasionally ask me how my passion for minimalist photography connects to my roles as a manager, editor, and advisor. At first glance, they seem worlds apart. One is about corporate structures, process management, market dynamics etc., the other about light, colors, contrast and negative space (minimalism!). But the core discipline is exactly the same: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Why (good) Management is like Minimalism
𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀: In a world of „noise,“ the best leaders don’t add more. They subtract the distractions until the core objective is visible.
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Just as a single line can define a perfect photograph. A single, well-placed strategic decision can define an organization’s success.
𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: Being a manager or advisor requires looking past the clutter to find the „essential frame“ that others might miss.
Whether I’m advising a client, writing a publication, or framing a shot through my camera’s viewfinder, my goal remains the same:
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲. Focusing on the Essentials!
Photography isn’t just my hobby; it’s my way of practice in focus.
My World in Color and Monochrome
